Fibroblasts are the main collagen and elastin producing cells in our body. As time goes by, our fibroblasts age and their action becomes slower every day, until reaching the moment when they hardly produce collagen or elastin.
Over the years, the skin loses some of its main properties, due to the low production of collagen and elastin, presenting less filler, less support and less elasticity in the skin. This leads us to develop many wrinkles and lines of expression. If we add to this other factors such as: stress, diseases, nutrition, solar radiation, pollution, etc., the person’s appearance deteriorates.
They are extracted by means of a puncture on the tissue behind the ears, painless and selected area for not having so much contact with UV radiation.
CANDIDATES:
- Under 65 years
- Without diseases such as: lupus, hepatitis B and C, skin diseases (psoriasis, erythema)
- That they do not suffer from skin cancer
- No coagulation abnormalities
- Non-pregnant women
- No smoking (if they smoke the procedure can be done but growth is slower)
- That they agree to be available for the application 5 weeks after the sample is taken
- No drugs: anti-inflammatories, anticoagulants and aspirin (stop taking 7 days before)
- Up to 1 drink of alcohol per day without excessive stress
SAMPLING:
The entire procedure is performed by a doctor previously trained in the entire process (plastic surgeon, dermatologist or cosmetic doctor).
Taking pictures of the patient without makeup on the day of collection to determine areas of application.
Taking the sample from the area behind both ears of the patient in a sterile environment by the doctor with local anesthesia.
The sample is placed in a tube with saline solution and gently swirled to clean the fragment.
Fibroblast Application
1.-Before the application, a mapping of the patient’s photograph is made to determine application areas.
2.-The patient is asked to arrive without make-up and apply a layer of EMLA anesthetic cream
3.-In the office a local anesthetic is applied
4.-Application of 10 syringes of cells in the previously marked areas
The process lasts from 40 minutes to 1 hour.
